Good quality blazer, but for more casual occasions

I got this blazer to share with hubby and also for a specific formal event coming. We really liked the quality of the blazer but think that the wool material makes the blazer more suited for casual wear than a formal event. Going to be exchanging for something diff bc the photos show a more crisp white, formal blazer, that’s why giving 4 stars.
